The West Cornwall peninsula abounds with facilities for surfing, windsurfing, scuba-diving, golf, fishing and horse riding, while the rugged Cornish coastline offers the avid walker many different and interesting routes. For those who prefer a less energetic holiday, St Ives has something for the whole family.

Its maze of narrow cobbled streets, lined by traditional granite fishermen's cottages, wind their way past the many shops, restaurants, bars, studios and galleries, including the internationally recognised 'Tate St Ives' and 'Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden'. The port is surrounded by soft golden sand beaches and sparkling turquoise water. The Atlantic rollers make 'Porthmeor' popular with surfers while sheltered family bathing is to be found at 'Porthminster' and 'Porthgwidden'.
